Veneer placement is a dental procedure in which our dentist will place a porcelain covering over the front surface of the tooth. Veneers are a versatile treatment that can give the appearance of straight, healthy, white teeth in a short amount of time. This cosmetic treatment is usually only applied to the part of the tooth that is visible, since that is all that is needed to improve the aesthetics of your smile. The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth enamel is removed and the procedure is generally more comfortable. Dr. Joseph Szymczak can usually complete the veneer treatment in just two appointments at our dental office.

At the first appointment, Dr. Szymczak will prepare the teeth by removing a small amount of enamel. He will then take an impression and the teeth are given a temporary covering to protect them while your permanent veneers are fabricated at a laboratory. In two to three weeks, the dental veneers will come back from the laboratory and you will return for your second visit. Our dentist will remove the temporaries and bond the permanent veneers to the teeth, giving you a beautiful new smile. Veneers are usually made of porcelain or pressed ceramic and look very natural and attractive.
